04.20.09: The 10th annual S.P.A.C.E. show is a wrap. I've been doing the show since the beginning which made me feel ancient when I started laying this stuff out. Though I have some personal rules to this, there's an amazing amount of freedom and trust with Bob (the organizer). At the most, the corrections have been a typo or some info dropped out here and there. Bonus as the original creator of the 'Cosmo' character hasn't come at me with a knife for the liberties I've taken with his original design. On Bob's site, you'll run into the original logo. I never like repeating myself. So each year, sometimes in each ad or flyer, the character is drawn differently. It also riffs off of the massive diversity you'll see at the expo. Styles and content shift wildy from table to table. Other creators have stepped in and done their own ads, fliers, and interpretations. It adds to the show. After a brief rest period, we start the madness again. Here's some of the art and promotional design I whipped up for this year's show...
